He is constantly monitoring the evidence-based literature for additional neurointerventions to add to the practice, but only after his rigorous standards of efficacy are met.

Dr. Landstrom’s philosophy to treatment is to “test first so there are no questions later!” This means the first step is to identify all the major factors contributing to the presenting problem, as well as to pinpoint any secondary sources of dysfunction that could be having an impact.
Often, what seems to be one problem is really something else entirely! This diagnostic clarity is accomplished by administering a battery of tests personalized to the unique presentation of a client, wherein we cast a wide net while also being judicious in tailoring the battery to relevant information (as opposed to having everyone complete every test!).
By identifying specific areas in need of intervention that may otherwise not have been considered, the rate of recovery increases and the treatment team can implement much more targeted interventions.
From there, a wide range of treatment options can be discussed, including the pros and cons, which then allows the client and their family to make a much more informed decision regarding how to proceed.
Our goal is to make sure the correct treatments are implemented and that the client and their family see sustained improvement moving forward.
