T.I.P.S.: Teens' Inter-Personal Skills Group!

TIPS is a social skills group for teenaged boys and girls with signs and symptoms of Asperger's, Pervasive Developmental Disorder, Mild-Autism and other significant concerns with social and peer difficulties. Through social games, video-clips, peer activities, including crafts and cooperative projects, our clients learn about making and keeping friends, understanding gestures, reading body language, dealing with bullies, making conversations, and learning how to navigate many other social dilemmas, including how to address social anxiety. Group leaders are professional and seasoned in social skills training.

• Understanding Emotions

• Using Verbal and Non-verbal Communication

FOCUS is a social skills group for elementary aged boys and girls. Through games, video-clips, peer activities, including crafts and cooperative projects, our clients learn about making and keeping friends, slowing down, paying attention, improving study skills, creating study stations, and learning anger reduction techniques. Group leaders are professional and skilled in ADHD training. Sharpen your FOCUS!

*Group leaders are professional and skilled in parenting, socials skills, and group training.

*All new lessons  every 8-15 weeks, depending on the season. Group services are offered year round!

*Topics are tailored to each member.

*Members are screened to ensure "goodness-of-fit" with other participants and group topics.

*All groups are "open," meaning there is no commitment to purchase the entire course in advance. You may attend as your schedule allows! 

*All of our Group Therapy sessions are conveniently located here at our Arlington Heights Change Points office.
